Revlon Royal Cloak

Hi everyone! I have a new mani today. I had to take the Jinx polish strips off (see post HERE). After 1 day they chipped so bad that it looked horrendous! So if you do go out and get them, I would suggest using them for a special night out, but not for a weekend getaway!

On a side note...I'm involved in a Secret Santa and so I have pledged to myself that, from now until December 1,  I will TRY to not buy anymore polish for myself so that my Secret Santa won't have trouble finding me a gift! So this goes into effect today. P.S. Zoya is having a BOGO sale through midnight tonight EST and so I got 4 polishes, but that was last night so it doesn't count! tee hee hee).

So anywayssss! I'm going through some of the polish that I haven't tried yet that I have recently purchased. Today's mani is Revlon Royal Cloak. This color is from their Masquerade LE 2011 Collection. It's a grape purple with flakie looking glitter.

Ok, I love this color. I love the flakies. I hate that I got bald spots applying this! I did 2 coats and purposely did not do a 3rd to show you the bald spots on almost all of my fingers! I usually only have this issue with light colors, such as yellows and whites. So was I disappointed? Yea, a bit. Do I still love this color and plan on wearing it with 3 coats? Yea, I do.

Sooo... thoughts? Have you tried Royal Cloak? Did you experience the bald spot issue like myself?

Revlon Blue Mosaic

Happy Sunday everyone! Who else is sad that the weekend is almost done? ::sniffle sniffle:: Well hopefully this color cheers you up.  Blue Mosaic is the final glitter polish in the Revlon Expressionist Collection. (You can check out the other 2 glitter reviews and swatches HERE and HERE).

I layered Blue Mosaic over Butter London Bluey (swatches HERE).

She's a beauty isn't she? This was only one coat of Blue Mosaic over 2 coats of Butter London Bluey and 1 coat of SV to top it all off.  BM is a blue jelly base with 2 different sizes of blue hexagonal glitter.  I'm glad I got this color from the collection because it looks gorgeous to use as a layering polish. Imagine it on top of a black base??...hmmm...must try soon!

Sooo...what do you think? Do you like Blue Mosaic? Have you been able to find this collection in stores near you yet?

Revlon Facets of Fuschia

Hi everyone! Hope you're enjoying your weekend so far! I've got a pretty busy lineup myself. I'm going to be around lots of people today, so I've got to have a pretty nail color to show off! So today's winner is Revlon Facets of Fuschia from their Expressionist Collection.  This collection features 4 polishes, 3 out of the 4 being glitters.

This little bugger has been making a lot of buzz for a little over a month now since its release.  The reason is because it is a pretty good dupe for Deborah Lippmann's Bad Romance which retails for $18. Revlon's FoF retails for a little under $4!

When this first came out, it was only found at Target stores, but since many of them are undergoing renovations, it was very difficult to find.  Luckily for me I have a good friend who works at Target so he put them to the side for me.  Now I've been able to find it everywhere: Target, Harmon and Walgreens.  FoF is a black jelly base with multi sized purple glitters. I layered her over Butter London Marrow (you can see my post HERE for swatches).

So without further hesitation, I present, Facets of Fuschia :)

And here is a bottle of Deborah Lippmann's Bad Romance for comparison.

I LOVE this glitter. For under $4, it is a gorgeous jelly which applies very easily. The glitter applies pretty evenly. I applied only 1 coat over 2 coats of Butter London Marrow and it was enough glitter.

So....what do you think? Is this a good dupe? Do you own FoF?

Revlon Starry Pink

Hi everyone!! I'm back! So sorry to have been away for so long. As you know, my camera had broken and I was waiting for my new one to come in the mail. Well I got it, but it took some getting used to. I hope I got the hang of it now ;)

So today I have for you Revlon Starry Pink. Starry Pink is 1 of the new polishes in their Fall 2011 Expressionists Collection.  As far as I know, it's only found in Target stores as of now.  They're pretty hard to find too, considering the fact that a lot of the stores are undergoing renovations, so many of them are not putting as much of their new stock out on the floor.

I took these pictures after wearing Starry Pink for 5 days. As you can see, I've had very minimal wear on my tips, with the exception of my pointer finger. I dinged that at work and the chip progressively worsened.  I really love this color. It's a creamy pink with a variety of small and medium hex glitters.  This is 2 coats with a coat of SV on top.

As you can see, after 5 days, it held up pretty well.  I don't have anything else like it in my collection and I'm definitely a fan of it! (I even bought a couple as backups!).

Sooo, what do you think? Do you have Starry Pink? Do you like? Dislike?
